Be careful what you recommend! (The devil does not want you to have a bible study app!)

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28)

There are some pastors that make it a habit to emphasize that church-goers should have a printed bible to use during service, bible studies, or elsewhere. This would make absolute sense if they were actually promoting the use of the Holy Bible; not some corrupt, diluted, and postmodern derivative and product of the textual criticism movement. Make no mistake, this is part of their talking points and they know exactly what they are doing.

What a peculiar thing to say to the flock; to advise against the use of their bible app. Do they really believe God is sovereign? Who created technology?

With regard to the common grace, this technology may be the most beneficial that we share today—and one of the most powerful tools the Lord our God has given us.

Any preacher with a healthy fear of God should be exhorting and inviting listeners to pull up each verse on their phone or tablet to compare against the different bible versions, and the version that he is reading from—especially if that version is not the Authorized Version!

When only books were around, it is likely that satan had no idea what was coming; and if he had the power, the snake would have tried to prevent the development of computers and the Internet, hence the attacks on the Internet today. This is common grace at its finest and we are all its beneficiaries!
